The Steadicam is a remarkable tool that stabilizes a mobile video camera, resulting in smooth camera moves and a dramatically higher production value. Jake has been operating a Steadicam for over 10 years now.
Jake owns and operates an ActionCam Raptor Pro, a Swiss-made steadicam with a payload of 8 to 28 pounds, so it can handle anything from a small ENG-style camera up to a fully loaded cinema-style camera such as the in-house Venice and Sony FX9, or a camera like the RED or Alexa Mini. An optional Steadicam G-50x arm increases that load capacity to 50 pounds.
The Steadicam comes with an RT Motion wireless follow focus, Teradek Bolt Pro 1000 XT wireless video transmitter and a daylight-viewable Transvideo 7" monitor.
